Last year baby corn on the local market was 60bht for 100 husks, this year it is 80bht for 100 husks, we planted 3 rai this year because the cassava was to old to plant, we wont employ labour to pick the husks, family use only, Its a good ploughed in green crop, if you do this, allow about 3/4 months before planting a new crop.

Cheers Lickey.

Personally no, i dont like baby corn, but the mrs and her 1 sis 4 brothers and familes will soon eat it all, after its boiled, its all mushy, i prefer big corn, buttered, fresh ground black pepper, wrapped in clingfilm and microwaved till slighty tender, about 3 mins.

Last years crop was ploughed in, and a few months later, cassava was planted, with bat guano and 1 dose of fretilizer the results have been astounding so far, growth wise.

So really, its not a cash crop for us, its more of an investment for future hardy crops.

Cheers, Lickey.
