Ami
Hi all, My wife and I are planning on returning to Thailland. She is American and I am British. We are both non Thai nationals. The school where she will be teaching will arrange a work permit for her. It would be a Non-immigrant work visa (think it's class O) I will be looking for work in IT and wondered what would my requirements be. Can I work on a marriage visa? Do I need my own seperate work permit. If possible - it would really broaden my options for employment as I'm guessing not every employer wants to go through the process of proving I can do work no Thai can do and apply for a work permit... We were registered in marriage in January 2008 and plan on going to Thailand in April 2009
lopburi3
1. There is no marriage visa available. If she obtains one year extensions of stay then you could obtain a non immigrant visa/extension of stay to match. 2. All work requires a work permit and the company position must meet the qualifications.
