Living in Chiang Mai I have TOT ADSL

When I make tests with ADSL Thailand I get good results (1700-450 kbps)

When I do it whith Thaivisa bandwidth meter I get only 500-200 kbps which is very slow

Is International bandwidth is very bad in this moment or is that specific to my area

Thanks

I mostly find when using either test that the results are similar.

Just did some now and the ThaiVisa one gave a faster result which is unusual. 1064/301 on TV, 880/210 on ADSL Thailand, 885/423 on speedtest.net, all powered by Ookla. I am on a 1MB plan. TV is based I think in Singapore and Singapore always seems to give a high result, e.g. using speedtest.net I nearly always get faster results from the Singapore server than the one based here in Thailand. While the tests are a guide the true test of what your connection is capable of is to download a large, popular torrent. I consistently get 105-110Kb/s for torrents. Slow speeds when browsing websites can be caused by so many different things out of the control of your ISP.

Something is happening tonight. Everything is very slow.

Yes, TOT in Chiangmai near CMU has been very slow too.

Hmm, what ever the problems were, they've gone now - it's flying along. :o
