It's been noted {PC World Computerworld et al} over the last few days that Microsoft have {sort of} announced that today {10:00 am PDT} XP SP3 will become a component of Windows Update, thereby triggering its automatic download and installation for users who have left the operating system's update service at its default 'Automatic {recommended}' setting.

There's been no formal confirmation, after 'a spokesman' commented on Monday that this was the date and time for implementation. So that's clear isn't it :o
