Salary With Work Permit

Featured Replies

Hello!

I'm wondering if anyone knows details regarding minimum salaries for people hired with a work permit.

I am fairly certain that for those working for a private business company, 60,000 baht is the minimum monthly salary (at least for Americans...something to do with agreements between governments?) is this true?

Also, what are the minimum salaries for those working as teachers or in journalism jobs?

Thanks a ton.

There was no national requirement but only local set ones. For one year extension of stay there was the nationality requirement. Under new regulations it seems labor office will use the nationality requirements for work permit issue but the dust has not settled on this issue yet.
