:o Do to family problems we divorced after marriage of 5 years. Now we want to re-marry. Can I use the same papers or must I do it all over again. On the QT, I thought of a little coffee to the ampur boss? What does anybody think?

Dear Sir,

Before I would even think about starting to any advice, please be so kind to ask yourself:

- Why did you marry the first time?

- Why did you divorce?

- Why do you want to marry again?

- Why do you think the same problems will not kick you in the family jewels again?

- Did anything change at all, besides on your side?

My advice: don't marry the same woman again!

If you still want to marry again, don't marry the same woman again, ever!

Thank you, and good luck!

the OP asked a simple question about legal documents. he didn't ask for anyone's opinion concerning his marriage plans :o

I did what the op is planning, after divorce at ampur, Had to go to Bangkok get paper showing I was free to marry in Thailand and then went to Ampur and registered our marriage for the second go round.

I think that if you got divorced and didnot marry again, you will have to proof that, and if you can there should be no objection.

Donot know about using the old forms.. many things could have happened in the time in between, so i think you will need to proof everything as this would be treated as a new wedding.

My guess is that you will need a new letter from the Embassy, duly translated and certified by the MoFA.

The Thais have a strange idea that documents become stale,

and in this case they are right............ :o
