Voip - 17 Satangs/min To All Mobile/fixed Lines In Thailand

Hi Guys,

This service has been around for a while, but I couldn't find any topic on this, so maybe my topic may be useful.

TOT has a service called "Totnetcalls" offering 17 satang per minute to call any mobile or fixed line in Thailand, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It works with any ATA, softphone (X-lite) or any new nokia phone or SIP enabled phone.

I've tried it on my N95 and it works great. The quality is as high as any "normal" cell phone to phone without delay.

You can buy 50 baht/100 Baht or 500 baht recharge cards in any 7-eleven nationwide.

The normal rate is 25 satangs per minute (still super low), but if you want to get their 17 satang/min rate, your first recharge has to be 500 Baht and then you keep the same rate for as long as your account is active (you can recharge 50 Baht afterwards, no problem).

Note that if your first recharge is 50 Baht and then you buy a 500 Baht card and make a second recharge, you will still keep your "first recharge rate" of 25 satang/min rate.

The website site is in Thai but it is pretty easy to guess and go around, some words ARE in English.

You can create an account for free (they give you 8 baht to try out, but you will NEED a mobile phone in Thailand to get their SMS and your account number):

The rates for other countries are here:

Here is where you can download their guide on how to set up on your ATA or SIP phone with TOTnetcall:

Hope that's useful,

Laurent

Very useful, thanks! I've been using MouthMun for 75 satang per minute and thought it was the cheapest around. Thanks for sharing this.

How does it compare to Mouthmun? I'm interested to hear more about people using it as a trunk inside asterisk.

I'm a bit of a imwit here but as I've got to go overseas for a while the missus would benefit from chepap calls to my mobile which will largely be in the UK.

Can someone please tell me what I need phone wise and translate it into laymans language so I can tell her if it proves to be a benefit to us.

By the way, what happens if she does this and calls a regular number in Thailand ? Currently on DTAC prepaid at about Bt1 or 2 per minute.
