If you mean "real world" prescription meds, yes, yes, very very easy all over the country, altho there are still a few meds that are really restricted.

Codeine (with a mild pain killer such as ibuprofen) and Ritalin (called Rubifen here) are examples of restricted drugs that require a medical doctor's prescription, but the list is shorter than in a typical Western country. If you try a couple of local pharmacies that turn you down, it's time to spend at least 250 baht asking a doctor for a script.

You will have a hard time finding opioid, barbiturates, and such and even then pharmacies don't stock those and you'd need to get them from a hospital.

A friend of mine got hit by a motorcycle and broke his wrist and all they gave him was paracetamol and ice.
