Say goodbye to the computer mouse

...or not

A Gartner analyst predicts the demise of the computer mouse in the next three to five years.

Taking over will be so called gestural computer mechanisms like touch screens and facial recognition devices.

If It's not broke, don't fix it. I really do hate touch pads. I enjoy sitting back in my chair and controlling everything possible with the mouse. Maybe if they find a way to replace the keyboard, I would be interested.

The drive to erradicate the mouse is obviously sponsored by windex. Having to wipe the screens down everyday!!

It would take porn surfing to a new level though :o

Just because something is new doesn't make it progress!!

oz

Its hardle new I was using a touch screen in a control system as far back as 84.  If you like setting with your arms stuck out in front of you all day, have fun.  Its by far worse then the stupid touch pad I only use when I have no choice. If they go the way of facial recognition, it won't be long before hackers are posting them on web sites.   :o
