I Would Like To Get Satellite Tv

Featured Replies

Hi, we will shortly be moving into our new house, central Thailand, near Kanchanaburi.

We are way outside of town in a small village so a satellite tv connection is really the only option for my tv wish list.

I would like good sports coverage ie, premiership football, good cycling coverage(Eurosport?), F1.

World news, BBC, CNN, Bloomberg etc.

One or two good movie channels.

History and documentary channels.

Drama and sitcoms.

Can anyone recommend a good expat package here in Thailand please?

The local suppliers only seem to have True of which I read mixed reports here at best.

Are there any non-Thai packages available that may meet my needs?

Thanks for reading, Andy.

Basically you have 2 choices:

- Truevisions with its different packages, I believe you know where to get more information. They have a few sports channels and do show Formula 1 (qualifying and race) on Starsport or ESPN. They don't have Eurosport.

They use a tiny satellite dish (55 cm), which means that as soon as it rains the signal might disappear.

- Install a large dish, get some "Free on air" channels. You can get Pay-channels too, but you would need to ask a specialized firm such as this. They do everything, including receiver, dish, cabling etc.
