Thanyaburi Mac
I'm sure some of you may find this wiki useful.http://flyerguide.com/wiki/index.php/Credi...8used_at_ATM.29 Good www site, thanks for posting. My U.S. credit union isn't listed. They resisted the 1-3% charge on foreign CC transactions for some years but finally caved and went to 1%. I carry their card but very rarely use it, mostly carry for an emergency if need be. Best, tho, is their ATM charge for withdrawals overseas, zero, zip, nada, none. Have used it many years here in the LoS and once a couple months back in Vientiane, the latter just as a test. Mac
gk10002000
Good link. Thanks. I would add that some banks reimburse all ATM fees if you have a large enough balance with the bank. I use Etrade bank, and they reimburse all ATM fees if you have over $50,000 in combined assets. I have used my Etrade ATM card overseas and the fees are instantly rebated.
