Protestors erected five large tents along the highway and parked a 10-wheeled truck nearby, using it as a platform to attack Energy Minister Poonpirom Liptapanlop. They demanded that Mrs. Poonpirom scrap the project and negotiate with them personally. Cars were unable to travel, and the demonstrators also threatened to block the other side of the road if their demands were not met. One of the leading protesters said the villagers had called for the project to be scrapped for more than five months in the past but there was no headway. (TNA) Source MCOT news
