Htc Phone Problem

Featured Replies

I have an HTC S710 phone, very good for getting emails from server in UK etc BUT I got off the plane turned it on and forgot to change sim card, so I took out the sim and changed it (with the phone turned on) and it went off so I tried to turn it on again and I got the flashing green light then....NOTHING ...just wont turn on.

I tried fully charging battery, plugging into laptop...still nothing.

I then read the book!! - tells you 'switch off phone before taking out sim card'.....hmmm very useful hidden away, should be a big read sticker inside the phone telling you!!

Anyway no use crying over spilt milk, its done now I just need to know if there is a way to get it back on?

I have been told that its a software problem, but thats meaningless to me as I dont know what to do even if I had the mysterious software.

Has anyone had this problem? if so has anyone solved this problem?

Any help would be appreciated :o

Hi

You probably will have to try a hard reset..

Maybe your phone has a soft reset button that you can try before that, as the hard reset will wipe out all data and installed programs from your phone , I hope you have backups...

Good luck.

Phil
