Yorkie Pup With Obviously Fake Papers

ok, so i thought this little yorkie was about dead yesterday. she was convulsing, and then barely breathing with very weak heart beat. BUT this morning she was sitting up in her hospital cage!!!.. she got an other shot of steroids, some dextrose and saline under the skin, and some dextrose to drink... this evening, she actually ate some A/D!!! and looked for more... it really is a miracle...

this is in extension of what i mentioned in an other thread.

yesterday a family came in with a small pup about the size of my hand, laying in a dog carrier. she had travelled from thailand, with a stop in russia somewhere, and arrived in israel the day before. the proud new owner had offered the pup water several times (the dog was in the aiplane witht he owner), but the pup was vomiting and black diahrrea the whole time (its a 13 + hour trip from thailand to israel).

the pup had a health cert. and vaccine card and pedigree paper from a breeder in thailand.

we treated with dexamethasone, sq liquids... the pup had sub temperature of 37 centgrade

the owner says he bought the pup from an israeli in bangkok who claims the pup was three months old. by its teeth, the pup is barely 4-5 weeks old.

i checked th vaccine book. the pup got a rabies vaccine in may. if the pup is a month old, or even three months old, how did he get a rabies vaccine??? !!!! at the age of a few days?

no other vaccines, no parvo no nothing...

i have the name, address and telephone of the so called breeder... and, in thai, the vet's name and number. i photo copied the cards with the owner's permission... he of course is going ballistic thinking he was buying a healthy animal for his wife and kids, and ending up with an almost dead dog, and a huge vet bill

the photo copy didnt come out to well, and i have no scanner so will have to low-tech it and photo it and put it in later...

this si the second toy type dog pup from thailand, that we got in OUR clinic who was underage with blatantly fake certs of health and distraught and stupid owners... in previous years it was pups from east block countries and russia. here is the address etc of the supposed breeder (dont have info on the middle man but the owner knows people in high places etc etc etc here, and he has the middle mans' info supposedly). i would love to know how a vet can put his/her stamp on a form for a dog (w/o a chip as far as i could see so no way to id the pup with the papers) that is so obviously underage, for overseas transport. how can a dog go overseas w/o a chip??? therefore no way to id the pup to the papers?

the rabies vaccine is for may 2008! even if the dog is supposed to be 4 months old (as claimed on the vaccine card), she would be a day or so old. no way to give rabies at that age!!

the vet info is in thai only i have to wait for anon to come home on friday to read it or i can digital photocopy it and post it here.
