GOOGLE has a cool map/directions tool for both drivers and walkers. I have played around with it using places in Bangkok. For example: put your starting point at your own home and the ending point at where you work. It immediately lists the direction showing all the turns and it displays a map showing your route. The defacto setting is for driving but you can also choose walking. You can move the starting point or the ending point by just dragging them to a different spot. If you want to make a detour when making the trip (say a visit to Nana) just drag from the route to your detour point and everything is recalculated.

This driving tool is oneway street savy. I have tested it in areas that I know and it does not tell me to make any wrong turns.

Th directions are in English but the map is in both Thai and English.

I knew this was available in Google Earth , but didn't know about Google Maps.

Well, my first test was from my home to Bang Nam Pheung and apparently I had to jump from the bridge.

One cool thing, is that you can actually edit the route point, and you would be able to map the route correctly.

This tools is going to save my marriage :-)
