August 16, 200817 yr I read on ThaiVisa that, as from the end of this month, Thai Immigration will strictly enforce the requirement for hotels to report details of all foreign guests who stay at their premises, with major fines for those hotels who fail to comply. Up till now, I have been completing the hard-copy pink reporting cards. But now I read that there is a new online system called WEBPIE, whereby hotel managers can rapidly submit their guest details. The problem is, I cannot find ay more details about this online system! I would love to use it, as opposed to completing hard-copy cards. does anyone have any more details about this new online system contacts, links etc?? Thanks Simon

August 18, 200817 yr What’s up! When leaving Phuket Airport last week the immigration officer asked me when I intended to return and stuck a blue Thai/English leaflet about the Thai Immigration rules in my passport. One of the rules highlight our duty to report a new address in 24 hours. I know the rule is old, but was a bit surprised to see that you can end up paying a fee of 5000,- THB if you get caught on a long weekend out of your house. BTW, first time any Immigration officer have asked me when I intend to return and give me a leaflet with their rules!
