Hd Receivers In Bangkok

Featured Replies

I have my PS3 and 42" Full-HD LCD tv and want to enjoy the full experience of the High Definition sound available on Bluray movies and games through a full set of 6 speakers (already chosen). I have all but given up waiting for Sony to bring their ES range of receivers in to Thailand (lifelong Sony fan, so please, easy on the flaming) so I have started looking at the competition.

Has anyone bought one or used any of the main sellers in the Sukhumvit area? They all seem to sell them at the exact same price with the usual massive 'discount'. None of the stores I have visited so far have any Bluray players hooked up for demos so it's difficult to make a comparison on the usual Kung-<deleted> Hustle demo DVD. After reading countless reviews online I am tempted to choose the Denon 4308 or 3808 but the stores only want to sell them packaged with JBL speakers, which I really don't want or need.

Since they are priced at around 70,000 baht I want to use someone who can provide good knowledge to set the whole thing up and and hopefully some after sales service, should something go wrong. Most of the recivers will need Firmware updates in the future.

Any helpful advice or recommendations would most welcome.
