Question Reguarding A Thai Visa For Myself

I have a quick question for you guys.

I am living in Ireland at the moment but I am planning a 2 month maybe 3 month holiday to thailand next songkran and then continue onto Australia for about a years working holiday before returning to Thailand for another couple of months. Does anyone one know the best visa suited to my holiday plans?

Single entry tourist visa, good for 60 days in country, can be extended at the nearest immigration office in Thailand for another 30 days at 1900 baht. Price of this visa should be around 30 euro in Ireland.

For anyone living in Wongamat Beach, there's a new open mall being constructed across the street from the Centara Grand Mirage resort. It's supposed to open later this year and will contain restaurants, cafes, a grocery store, etc. With any luck, the grocery store will be good. And the area could use a few more restaurants.
