I brought a box from home because Graham Crackers were no where to be found in Thailand. Then, I started to see them on the shelves (I think Villa Market). Now that I am fresh out, they have disappeared again.

It is such an essential part of home-made desserts and cooking, i can't believe there are 50+ brands of the same cracker on the shelves, but no Graham Crakers.

Anyone seen any recently?

Try Honey Grahams...I saw them in Villa last week. (in the cookies section, not in the crackers section)

When making your crust, don't use sugar, just crush them fine and mix with melted butter.

If you can't find Honey Grahams, try Digestive Crackers (Chinese name in a red box) with sugar and butter. You'll be surprised at the flavor and firmness of the crust.

That's funny, because I searched all the Villa Market's around Sukhumvit last week. Either they sold out, or I am going blind (the last is sure to be true). I need to check again. If you remember which store, please let me know. Oh, and thanks for the alternate recipe tip. I will have to try it. I'm crazy for home cooked desserts.

Most westernized markets will order your favorite products for you if you ask. Rimping market in Chiang Mai has a terrrible re-supply system so ordering saltines by the case, etc. is the way I go. Since the Haitai saltine is what I buy, their regular boxes are divided into 8 foil wrapped packets so moisture deterioration is rarely a problem.

I have even called manufacturers in Bangkok and have orders delivered "up courntry by bus" of staples that are often not available. Very empowering to be self-sufficient in this regard. If the manufacturer, my hard candy manugacturer has a sales staff and doesn't sell direct to customers, they will always point you to a local store that they supply and will ship through them. Discounts are available for case quantity orders.
