Apologies if this is a stupid question or has been done a million times before.

I am Australian and came to Thailand under the visa exemption on the 6th of March and have spent a total of 80 days in Thailand.

This means that

a) I only have 10 days left of the 90 days that I am allowed

B) The 180 day period 'resets' on the 1st of September according to the calculator.

My current exemption ends on Saturday the 30th and I was planning to go to Cambodia and come back in with the visa exemption. Will this be a problem as I only have 10 days left for the 90 days or will it be ok because it gets reset in a couple of days anyhow?

Thanks :-)

The period is six months so don't know what "calculator" you used; but it is defective.

As for the 80 day total be sure you count each entry/exit day as a full day (or two if you just make a turn around).

You really should consider obtaining a tourist visa from Vientiane on this trip. Do not believe you will get more than a 10 day stamp.
