My neighbours have decided that the best thing to do is to head off to Pucket and block the airport. They have been glued to the TV all day for the last few days, a fair number of beers have also been reprocessed, and now they reckon the best thing is to support their brothers and sisters in Bangkok. So maybe they'll have their moment of fame on the TV and in the papers too.

I told them that Samak has been democratically elected and all the PAD mob are not acting in a lawful way. Deaf ears. I also asked what happens if Samak resigns. Blank stares. Nobody around here seems to have thought that far ahead. The message is Samak must go and then the sun will shine and all will be fine. :o

Samak was fairly...quiver...elected and should have the right to govern, as should have Thaksin until the vermin got involvrd, the PAD are nothing but a bunch of pisssed off idiots who lost their cash to Thaksin!

ThaT BALDY BASTARD and his pet monkey/Dwarf (Sonthi and /Adjoi Si Muang (sorry for the Thai ...purple dick are a disgrace to democracy...lock em up!

I wouldn't be lecturing the Oriental people on what political actions they should take. It is their Oriental nation. We can have opinions but its not our role to influence the Orientals. Their culture shows they do not appreciate that from European descent foreigners.

In any so called democracy the electorate will be divided - hence 'democracy'! In Thailand they (the electorate) don't seem to have the grasp of this fundimental principle. Thaksin was removed by the army following months of demonstrations orchestrated by the PAD mob. The dust settled and Samak was elected. If Samak is forced to stand down then the Thais will be governed by the PAD mob. However, it seems to be common knowledge that they pay many of their monkey supporters to demonstrate - so were does it end. One corrupt group with only self interest replaced by another.

Rotten to the core with a primitive mindset !

You got that right. The PAD shot Thailand in the foot with its self-destructive tantrum antics engineered by several old and frustrated confucianists insanely jealous of anyone richer than themselves.

Perhaps one might point out that, recent DNA-analysis shows, both Asians & Europeans have a common root-stock in Africa, a few hundred thousand years ago. Some of us turned left, in the Middle-East, while others turned right, that's all.

Same same not-different ! :o

What does the electorate want?

Sometimes former politicians, even disgraced ones can provide a bit of insight. Earl Butz, the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, under President Ford made a comment as to why a certain visible ethnic group was not enthusiastic about his political party. The comment caused a scandal and he had to resign his position. Butz said that "the only thing the XXXXX are looking for in life are a tight pussy, loose shoes and a warm place to sh*t."

Somethings never change, I guess.
