30 Day Stamp 10 Entries Over 130 Days And The Immigration Says Nothing

Featured Replies

Hello,

I need some informations please. I think I am in deep trouble now...

The facts:

I work in Vietnam probably one week in a month since january 2008 . The rest of the time I am living in Bangkok (I rented a condominium)

I always entered with this 30 days stamp.

Now I heard about this 90 days limit within 6 month.

I checked my passport and...yeah ...what diid I see?

I found out that I spend more than 138 days in Thailand the past 6 month. The immigration at the airport didnt say anything until now...

Actually my limit was reached already 2 month ago. In the last 2 month I entered 3 times with this 30 day stamp Thailand even my 90 day limit was already reached.

Next week I have to go for business to Vietnam again.

What can I do to reenter Thailand again?

Is this 2 month Visa working for the time beeing? Can I apply for it inside Thailand?

Shall I try one more time the 30 day stamp?

What shall I say to the immigration office here in Bangkok?

Please help me . It seems to me that I am in deep trouble now...

Any suggestions?

You are not in any trouble with Immigration - it is up to them to enforce the regulation or not - in your case it appears you are out long enough to not cause them worry you are using the system to stay here full time and recent reports are they are not enforcing strictly. But you could be refused entry on any trip if you do not obtain a tourist visa prior to travel here. You would have to apply in Vietnam.

Thank you very much for your quick answer.

Final question:

If I have a 2 month tourist visa and I extend it with 30 days...

lets think smart....

Can I cange after these 3 month to the 30 day stamp again?

I think it would fit in these 90 days regulation foir the next 6 month?

Do I think wrong?

Kop khun mah khab Lopburi...

For most people it would be a few days short (6 months is not 180 days) but in your cause it probably would be as you seem to have stayed out of Thailand a few days each time.

Thanks Lopbury,

but the question for me is, does the 2 month tourist visa with an extension of 30 days count in the 90 day rule with the 30 day stamp in the future?

I appreciate your answers because you are very well informed.

Thomas

No it does not count against the 90 days. Only visa exempt 30 day entry count.
