Adsl In East Pattaya

Featured Replies

I have a friend who lives in East Pattaya, on the East side of Mabprachan lake and about 0.5km off Siam Country Club road.

He's not a huge internet user, mostly just checking emails. However, occasionally he needs reasonable speed so dial up isn't a sensible option. He has tried IPstar with predictable results.

He asked my thoughts and I suggested CAT's Hi-net if he had coverage. I use it here in the Pratumnak area and find it very good but he's been told by them that there is no coverage in his area.

I'm sure there are a lot of guys using this forum that live in the area - what would you recommend as his best available ADSL option given his location? His phone line is TOT.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think in that area TT&T has phone lines available which are ADSL capable.

Their local exchange is located in front of either SP 5 or SP3 village (far end of Sim Country club road) so if he is less then 3 km away from there he should be able to get fast ADSL.

AFAIK TOT is not ADSL capable in that area.

CAT indeed does not have coverage there.
