Quiet Island For New Year

Featured Replies

I know this is high season but does any you guys can suggest a place where I can spend a quite new year on small Island near Phuket, Krabi or Pattaya with not a lot of people, yes I know this is a long shot.

Maybe Koh Lanta. Though well away from Saladan.

Koh, Tarutao is a real gem, bonviveur, but a little further down; towards Satun (southwest Thailand). It's a national marine park only open for a handful of months a year and is supposed to be gorgeous. If too far, consider heading for the islands south of Trang (southeast of Krabi). Koh Muk is a nice little place and fairly easy to get to by ferry (20 minute ride from the mainland at khuan tung ngu pier, to the southwest of Trang). If you do go, make sure you visit the Emerald Cave in the morning. All the islands around Phuket, Krabi and Pattaya will have lots of people.
