Why are there always some forms of genius going to topics and post things like "This is bs and should be closed". I see many strange topics but they can be important to the persons who start/ask/post.

oh the irony :D

Good one, NGT. :D

I just noticed a thread about hairy moles on people of Chinese descent that has fifteen replies. :o

While not much into censorship, threads like that (and this one) seem to be becoming the norm and I find myself backing away from the very odd place that is now ThaiVisa.

I don't know where the mods are but I would be slamming the door on many of these non-Thailand threads. But then, if the dingbats are all we have left, there would be a severe lack of threads on these forums.

From the feedback I get from many friends, many of the reasonable/rational folks have decided that they need to get a life outside of ThaiVisa. :D

To answer your title: because we need them here.

Without them we would never learn something.

I think Dustoff sums it up perfectly :D

Somebody, for somebody's sake, close this meaningless babble of a thread before too much bandwidth/electricity is wasted.

Thanks everyone for replying. I'm thinking of a sensible topic to post later.

Hazzarding a guess , you were schooled in Thailand , did you forget the 31 rule ?

Do NOT think , you will give yourself a head-ache .

I wish I could stop thinking.

This thread should be closed unless it can be renamed with the correct plural of genius. :o

Noun

genius (plural: genii (classical Roman mythology) or geniuses (colloquial))

Source: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/genius

:D

ge·nius / Ñ 'dZi;niJs; NAmE Ñ / noun (pl. ge·niuses) [can't be bothered transcribing the phonemics]

Source: 1) Oxford Advanced Learner's Compass.

2) New Oxfrod Dictionary of English (2001)

3) Dictionary.oed.com (full online version)

genii, as noted above, is the plural of the mythological spirit genius which also takes the modern plural geniuses. Rather like forum is fora when referring to the original meetings/places of classical time but forums when referring to modern (e.g. Internet) forums.

Also those who start the threads should not be listened to when they demand that the topic be closed because they don't like the way it's going.

I can't believed this thread is still open. :o

Moderator please close that BS.

Not Thailand related, just moderator bashing who do for sure a hard work.

If they're genii, they must grant three wishes at your command. Choose wisely. Otherwise, send them back to the bottle to sleep it off.

If only there were genies that looked like Jeannie. I remember watching reruns after school of I Dream of Jeannie. Barbara Eden was hotttttt. It's the stuff little boys dreams are made of. Perhaps that could inspire some enterprising person to open a venue where the ladies are dressed as genies and call the men, master........... I'd so be in there everyday doing a Larry Hagman on my liver. :o

I'm gonna get smacked for being very naughty.

I got it now. Thanks Phaethon. Thanks Jimjim and others who replied.

AmeriThai, LMHO.

My first wish: those geniuses will not turn people off by saying “This is bs and should be closed.”

My second wish: only friendly language is allowed on Thaivisa.com.

My third wish: let this thread stay :o

I did not bash moderators because they don't use the word "bs" when they close any topic.

It's so obvious that many members like to jump in some topics and make such a great statement.
