I am English. 70, retired and have a retirement visa valid till 24th oct 2008

Last year for, the money requirement ,800,000 [having read it on thai visa]

[it was similar for a married visa]

I was granted permission to stay, thus 400,000 in the bank, plus proof of pensions

income to Thailand of 40.000 per month, [with all the usual proof]

am i correct in thinking it is still the same . Can you advise me once again,

if all the requirements for retirement visa. are as befor riley 76

I have to renew mine in December, and I don't think anything important has changed since last year. In Pattaya, they may ask for proof of your address, but that was also possible last year so I just took a copy of my lease (and they didn't ask to see it).

Be aware that the GBP/THB exchange rate is much lower now than it was last October (~60 compared with ~68) when calculating how much cash in the bank you will need.

Good luck, let us know how you get on.
