A sudden jump from about 30 Gbps (where it has been for about 6 months) to 41 Gbps.

Amazing Thailand.

(PS. If you've got a slow connection, please don't blame me. I'm just the reporter here, OK? :o )

it's mostly due to the peering with people like Microsoft, Google, etc.

Does that mean the Google and MS traffic now goes down dedicated links? If so, it must relieve the pressure on the other links. So it's still good news.

Perhaps this explains why over the past 1-2 weeks my sustained download speeds from the United States have increased from 900kbps to over 1500kbps (TTT Maxnet 2048kbps premier plan)?

Let's hope they keep increasing the international bandwidth and at a rate that keeps up with demand.

I have also noticed similar things and for some reason it seems to be where the website is hosted.

I downloaded AVG Free the other day at 300kb per second. It was marvelous.

Downloads from other sites are never that quick.

Anyway long may it last.

I use TT n T maxnet. Its one plan above the basic user, about 800 baht a month.

When i first got it, 18 months ago, download speeds never went above 50kbs. And as id just come from dial up, i was amazed at that !

now, for the same money, i often get double that speed, and sometimes 6 times.

Cool !
