I have renently registered a company in Thailand and would like to open a commercial bank account with a bank here. I currently use personal banking with HSBC in Bangkok which I thought would be the best choice. Upon them emailing me the criteria I noticed that they required an initial deposit of 50,000 baht (no problem), must have a minimum balance of 5,000,000 baht, if the minimum falls below 5,000,000 baht they would charge 1,200 baht per month each month. Does anyone know of a bank here with better terms?

Don't use HSBC they over charge - Use BBL

BBL - Minimum deposit is THB 1,500 if i remember correctly

Don't forget all the documents.

Siam Commercial Bank has no such requirements for an account under a business's name. My balance sat at around 500 baht for at least a year and a half (I just stopped using it and just used my own account). No problem.

Shop around before you let them hold your money.
