Has Flood Affected Border And Visa Runs ?

Featured Replies

My time for the next run is not due yet, but I'm curious if anybody has been affected by the recent naam tuem (flood) across many Eastern provinces, especially Korat.

The last time I did my Vientianne run it was a bit scary as it was raining heavily in the middle of the night and we were speeding in a rot tu (van) to reach Nong Khai early.

Just returned from a trip from Udon Thani by car and all is OK.

If in doubt why not call one of the operators who do the Tourist Visa Run from BKK to Laos.

I will be going to Vientiane in a couple of weeks by train but see today in "The Post" that trains to nong Khai have been suspended "imdefinately" due to damage to track and bridges caused by flooding. Does anyone have any details of a comfy V.I.P. bus running up there? i saw one advertised in Vientiane last time but didn't take down the details. Any help much appreciated.
