Rhys Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Greeting all, I was rather surprised to find this email in my workplace email account. Not really quite sure what to make of this. From what I see on my screen is a little icon with an eye and red stop sign every time, I log into Thai Visa. Any suggestions, comments. *********************** A virus (TROJ_MEREDROP.GJ) was detected in the file (user-EA49943X-activities.zip/user-EA49943X-activities.exe). Gumballl Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Well, you could start by not surfing to ThaiVisa.com while you are at the workplace. I've worked for companies in the past that prohibited employees from visiting certain sites that can contain information/pictures that are not harmonious to a professional workplace. Using an internet filter, the companies would display a page indicating that the employee has attempted to visit a site that is not appropriate. Continued attempts to access the site would set off "alarm bells" at the IT desk. Does ThaiVisa.com contain inappropriate material? Well, everyone is entitled to an opinion. Perhaps yours differs from your company's.

Tywais Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 So this is virus that has originated from within the company email service? Thanks for the advice... Done Not necessarily from within the company but likely from an external source spoofing the source address.
