September 19, 200817 yr I can remember when it was truly informative, good recipes, good advice on where to find stuff. Now it seems to have been hijacked by a sponsor. Endless posts and topics praising his products or proclaiming there ordinariness. No one can say that Bistro Eurogourmet isn't getting value for it's sponsorship dollars. Or do I just miss Jet?

I feel sorry for that poor EuroGourmet guy. His food looks fantastic by Thailand standards and maybe any standards, yet all he gets is a hard time. Better if he just logged off IMO. Wish he'd open a branch in Chiang mai.

Be a better idea to post the ones you want to sell General! lannarebirth His food looks great and he does get some good reviews. Personally I think he'd be better off sticking to wholesaling and supplying super markets nationwide.
September 20, 200817 yr Personally I think he'd be better off sticking to wholesaling and supplying super markets nationwide. The only problem with that is that "if" you can get the supermarkets to stock your line, you have to do nearly one hundred times the turnover to make the same profit margins, especially if your product has established name products competing with it. If you want your product in foodland, for example, you actually have to "rent" the shelf space off them.

Good for wholesalers too, decent shelf space possie for products. Sign of the times, world over. Edit, my f'n spelling....lol Edited September 20, 200817 yr by Zpete
September 20, 200817 yr That's one of the issues with his products - far too high a mark-up IMO (same with another sponsor). I'll stick to Carrefour... E:T Edited September 20, 200817 yr by Ping
September 20, 200817 yr Author I mainly buy TGM small goods. They're readily available in Chiang Rai and they have lately introduced a perfectly respectable Salami sausage that can be bought whole or in halves. I'd certainly be willing to try any other brand. I need to find out where Don's Foods (also a sponsor) is, apparently he's opened a new shop in CR but it's a bit out of the way.
