Hi all... I'm sure this has been asked a million time before, I have read some replies already, but still unsure of the correct answer I personal need...

I have been in thailand now coming up for 3 years on a non B multiple 1year visa, i always get a renewal before the expiry date of my previous visa back in my home country the UK, but this year i have decided not to return... hoping i would be able to get a renewal when my current visa runs out this year. currently I am stamped up to stay in thailand till early Nov 08, my non b visa however runs out on the 21st Sept 08.

I do not have a work permit at this time, still in start up here in thailand... I have been a self sponsor for renewals in the uk as i have a VAT registered business based there.

So is it possible to get a multi NON B visa in Asia without a work permit or am i best of just getting on a plane and heading back to the UK?

Sorry to say this, but it is impossible. Even for a single-entry non-B the Thai consulates want to see the receipt for the work permit application.

many thanks for your quick reply, I guess ill be heading back to the uk to renew then unless i get a wp before hand... would it be possible to get a tourist visa for 30 or 60 days to extend my time in thailand till Christmas, would i get an automatic 30days by doing a boarder run even though the past three years ive had non b visa's? better still can i get a 60 day tourist visa to tide me by? if so where's good to go for one of those?

Vientiane Laos.

You can get a Single OR Double Entry Tourist Visa. Each entry will give you 60 days and can be extended at Immigration for a further 30 days.
