Dear All,

This forum and a number of recent interviews with those who have gone through and have either received or in process for a PR have been extremely helpful. Thanks to all! I have a question where I've gotten different view points - it concerns those of us you are applying for PR who do NOT work (or own) for a profit company with Ngor Por 51 filings (corporate tax payments) to include in our application. Aside from the family category - individuals filing for PR who work for non profit agencies either apply under the "employment" catetory or often both the "employment" and "expert" category. As I am in the midst of preparing my application for a Dec. '08 submission would be very helpful to hear from those at the same starting point - applying from an employment base of working for a non-profit agency (both locally and for an Int'l agency as is my own case). My attorney has advised me to apply under both the employment and expert category which then hinges your application being successfull on obtaining a letter of support from your cognizant Ministry in Thailand - for myself that happens to be the Ministry of Labor.

Thank you,

Fitchner

It does seem to be a requirement that you show a record of paying personal Income Tax,

not so much what company you work for.

Technically, I work for a non-profit organisation - an international school owned by a non-profit foundation. For my PR application I had to get evidence from the school of its non-profit status, as well as details of the school's licence-holder, and all the members of the foundation board.

I did, however, fulfil all the requirements for salary earned and tax paid.
