truck
Hello all! When Thai Air cancelled their flights to New York I opted for a "refund" and now have no ticket home. I have a non-b with an extension through March of '09 and believe I need a re-entry permit for an upcoming trip to Singapore. 2 questions: Can I get the re-entry permit easily on my way out at the airport or do I need to do that in advance at an immigration office? I can't really risk a delay at the airport as I will be traveling with 30 teenagers. Will I be allowed back into Thailand without a plane ticket out? Can I tell them I will be traveling overland through Cambodia when I leave? (This is my plan.) What should I do? Thanks
astral
I have never heard of any requirement for a return ticket when applying for a re-entry permit. As long as you have an extension until March 09 and a re-entry permit you should have no trouble entering the Kingdom. If the airline plays up when you want to return, then point them to the re-entry permit.
ubonjoe
I would suggest you get the re-entry permit at any immigration office. Sounds like you are going to have your hands full at the airport without any additional things to do. Return flight is only needed if you don't have a visa.
