I am trying to prepare a manuscript for an expat who is elderly and ailing. My experience with graphic word processors is minimal -- and I hate the things anyway -- so I'm stuck on what should be a very simple thing: page numbers.

I'd appreciate a chance to correspond or better yet talk on the phone with someone who can handle Word. Once I get the page numbers right, I'm done. Then the manuscript goes to the printer.

If all goes well, I'll see the light and get the page numbers done in five minutes. It's probably something stupid, or I should say I'm stupid and just can't see where I keep going wrong. So is there a volunteer who can give me a tip?
