My wife and i have been together for about 3 years, have evidence of this,e-mails,flight tickets etc dating back to early 2006.we got married Jan this year and she has suddenly decided she wants to come to the UK for a holiday.I will be in Thailand Xmas and Jan for a holiday and she wants to come back to Uk for holiday. We have land and a house in Thailand,we will live there in the future, but my parents are old and she wants to meet them before they pass away.Looked into the visa thing and have a problem,"how she supports herself"i send her money every week by western union, fortunately she has kept most of the reciepts dating back years. Will this go against us the fact she does not work.My attitude to this is she is my wife and if she wants to work or not it is up to her,she chooses not to,her parents are old too and she takes care of them.I live alone in a 2 bed apartment,no real debts and no money worries. Her only reason to return to Thailand is that she only wants to come to uk to meet my parents and when 3 month visa is up she will return to take care of her parents. She will also initiate plans etc for us to build a new house on the land we own.I know we would be as well trying for a settlement visa but neither of us wants to settle in the UK.So would there be any problem going for a 3 month holiday visa.

As long as you show that you can support and accomodate her whilst she is in the UK you wont have a problem in that area.

The only problem could be her reason to return. You should include in the application a detailed explanation of why you do not currently want to livce permamently together.
