Hi I have had the same problem as Dhali. I have been with my Thai g/f for well over a year now. I went to see her in March 2008 and I am going back over to Korat in December 2008 to stay with her and her mom for one month. I am thinking of retireing there but I wanted her to meet my family before I made a decision. She has her own home and owns her own restaurant but the UK visa "experts" decided she did not have a good enough reason for returning home once she came to the UK and refused her visa application. We appealed against the ruling only to be told that because she is not visiting "family" she has no right to appeal. We sent all corespondence between us, photos of when i was in Korat last and even a letter from her cousin who lives in Huddersfield and has been married for 10 years. We don't know what to do next any help would be grateful

You need your family to see her before making a decision ??

ARE YOU SURE ? :o

It is impossible to advise on your next step without knowing the reason for refusal. Therefore it would be a great help if you could reproduce the refusal notice here.

I know what i want in my own mind but i would like my son and daughter to meet her first and she wants to meet them too.

And if they don't "approve" ?

If you know what you want, why not marry her (or get engaged) first. Invite them to the wedding (not sure how practical that would be and I know you can cover more family on a UK visit). Not everyone will embrace a Thai/Falang relationship - especially IF there is an age gap. I am slightly concerned that you will allow the views of others to affect your own judgement. You are either in or you are not.

Either way, good luck and I hope you resolve the Visa issue. There is loads of knowledge available on this forum and once you have supplied all the details 7by7, Scouse etc can provide guidance.
