philip81
Can anyone advise me if a medical certificate is required for my wife in order for her to obtain the settlement visa to the UK?

bergerac
Philip, A medical is not required to secure a visa. However on arriving in the uk all new immigrants must go for a medical, of which a chest x-ray is the most important. Get a full medical check including chest x-ray in pattaya, we used bkk-pattaya hospital, they check for aids, pregnancy and a multitude of diseases. We arrived at terminal 3 heathrow, after queing for 1 hour with everyone else at immigration we were directed to the medistcal centre que, if you did not have a chest x-ray the wait was four hours. We only waited 45 mins but were made to form a line buy the most racist guy i have ever met, when i told him i had an x-ray for my wife and i had a british passport he told me to sit down with the other black f*****s and wait my time. Just my experience mate but be prepared
