Most yes, but not all TC, I prefer two or three night flings so I have time to contemplate what new hobbies I should pick up.

But what about your FOOT--BALL game nights with all the boys you told me about?

Anyway it’s noo waay impossible now - I broke the ladder the last time I tried to climb Up to your bedroom window!!

Haven't have it fix yet, they all want more than 20 bths - just to fix that dam_n ladder!!! ---how difficult could it be? :o

Mine is strange. I like walking from one department store to the other, from one market to another. One is too overpriced so I don't buy. One is too cheap so I don't buy either :o

But I love shopping in Bangkok.

In British English the term is 'pottering around' :D

With nothing better to do, I take the air-conditioned walk from the far end of Paragon though to MBK, with just a couple of blast furnace sprints between buildings.

I also wander off with some vague destination in mind but end up diverting along all sorts of back routes and strange markets. My main hobby on these trips is reassuring tuk-tuk drivers that I'm not lost (much) am not looking for Wat Po or whatever the nearest main attraction may be or indeed a 'sexy massage' (too ticklish :o ).

Has anyone seen a farang driving a boat (even a little dinghy). Does one need a licence/qualifications?

K.

1) eating: doesn't sound like a hobby, but you can go to 500+ restaurants here without ever repeating (many are worth repeating of course).

2) tennis, and working out at FF or Wow... to keep the calories from the aforementioned hobby in check.

3) taking lots of 2-3 day trips out of Bangkok...

Hobbies, hobbies,

I wake up at 8 usually and have a swim for an hour.

Take a nice hot shower.

Then I make a brekkie and enjoy the river view for about an hour.

Watch the stock market and see how my investments are doing.

Go for a nap.

Wake up and go for another swim.

Have a late lunch somewhere.

Back home read a book and see how my stocks are doing.

Time to eat again so I go out to some restaurant.

Watch some TV and check the news on Internet.

Time to sleep and do the same the next day.

:o

I wish it was true, ha ha ha!

All the good stuff is going on inside. Outside consists of going to the swim club, having lunch with the girls, maybe do a little shopping or go to the salon, and then home for dinner. If I go out at night (other than special events, not hobbies), it's mainly to go food shopping and sometimes buy a magazine.

To U English,

it may be = “POTTERING”!!

“pottering” = “HOBBY-ing”!!!!!!! in Thailand …JA….duh duh :D

And “eating” is the thai’s favorite past time activity

Any farang who wants to be in my circle……U got to love “eating BAMEE”!! :D

Seriously,

How many thais do have a hobby? Some do, but many don't....cuz most just can't really afford it,…… to “nurture” the curiosity of all things, that is.

Pretty tough to beat people watching in Bangkok.

People watching - I enjoy doing it!!!

You can tell a lot about the person - from “obsevation”

Of the way they….

Eat, or type of food they’re eating, how they eat,

Speak

Dress

Type of shoes

Color on them

Hair style

Etc.

Just me :o

.....and, getting on any bus that comes along (except} the green ones, and staying on it until it reaches terminus, or does a full circle.

I use GPS and save the track with bus number...so EXCITING !!!!

Wasn't asked but thing I NEVER do is eat anything I have not prepared.

Not for shit.

Appearances can be deceiving, slight error in judgment can be costly. And never Judge a book by its cover.

Hobs in BKK: Well I like to jot down lyrics and sometimes try to express my own form time to time.

Every fort night I will go down to the school and help the instructors on teaching there student in teakwood cuz they pretty much suck.

Enjoy ice-skating and smacking the puck around at Big C ladprao when im not lazy.

But I am in to the normal stuff. Clubs, Cars, bikes, Chilling, Eating where ever ETC.

Soon when (star craft 2) is released you will not see me for a long time thou!! Muahah..

edit: Forgot the "g"in judge.! :o

Learn to enjoy people watching from living in Honolulu, HI eversince.

On Friday, it's called "Aloha Day", that means everyone puts on their best muu-muu and aloha shirt, :D that goes with all the state employees too. Can you imagine, the workers in Hon. city hall, bus drivers....parade in bright colorful dresses and shirts, instead of dark dull business suits they wear to work 4 days a week. :o

My favorite spot was at Ala Moana Shopping Mall, particular during lunch time, the place reminded me those colorful Japanese Koi fishes, people swarm all over places, it's like a candy store for your eyes. :D
