Oj Simpson Found Guilty On All Charges In Las Vegas

He'll probably get life because of the kidnapping conviction. 13 years to the date of being acquitted of the murders of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman, a Las Vegas jury convicted Simpson and his co-defendant on 12 counts of kidnapping, armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon stemming from a hotel room invasion in which Simpson tried to recover sports memorabilia he had squirreled away. The robbery occurred at the Palace Station.

The sports memorabilia should have been turned over to Goldman's parents in partial satisfaction of a wrongful death civil verdict they won against Simpson. It is believed that the judge overseeing the verdict collection action in Los Angeles will order the Las Vegas court to turn over the evidence which includes: Simpson's Hall of Fame certificate, a gold Rolex watch and the suit Simpson wore on the day he was acquitted.

To date, the Goldman's have only received about $435,000 in satisfaction of the verdict, more than half of that amount coming from the sale of his Heisman trophy.

This was a very divisive case and it is kind of a catharsis now that OJ is finally, and justifiably, going down. It does seem that the punishment for this current crime is way over the top, but given that he got away with murder before, sometimes karma happens while you are still in this current life. BTW, it is quite legit to say he is a murderer as he was convicted of this in a civil (money damages) court.

Its directly related to Thailand, of course, because AVIS car rental (for whom OJ was the TV pitchman in the past) has offices here, and, of course, NFL football shows here... What more reason do you need? Besides, OJ is a man of the world... :D:o

One of the most important lessons learned from OJ's first crime is that if you are going to commit a crime and do not want to be convicted of it then always do it alone and have a lot of money to hire the best lawyers to defend yourself. He apparently forgot that lesson the second time around and committed a crime with several accomplices. Even money and the best lawyers have a tough time defending someone that one or more of their accomplices plea bargain and testify against them as OJ has now found out and Michael Vick found out last year. The appeals process is just beginning and OJ still has money so even though he lost round one, it is probably far from over. Maybe this time justice will triumph over money and the best lawyers but with our flawed judicial system, I will not be holding my breath.

I wonder of the prosecution asked this question:

"Mr. Simpson, if you has suspicion of items being stolen why didn't you call the police?"

The best answer OJ could have answered with is:

"After all I have been threw in the past, I didn"t think the police would help me."

Great news, and of course this is Thai related because OJ used to live in LA which is course home to largest community of Thais outside Thailand!

it is also thai related because my wife and me watched the trial and now we live in Thailand :o

Thai related my Azz. If it stays open it only confirms my suspicion about the bigotry of the mods who have deleted my posts in the past. Anyway as far as OJ goes THIS IS NOT THAI RELATED, and, if your found "Not Guilty" that's what it means. How can you "Finally" go down for something you never did in the first place? If I was him I'd want my stuff back too!

Regarding the prospect of a successful criminal appeal, knowing this is OJ, I'd never rule out the possibility... BUT...and it's a very BIG but.... the normal chances of having a jury verdict criminal conviction overturned in the U.S. are pretty darned slim... Odds are, sometime in the future, the residents of a Nevada state penitentiary are going to be having Juice for breakfast every morning... :o

Justice triumphed the last time too. Even with racist scumbag police planting fake evidence just because OJ is Black. I hope he wins his appeal.

Really? I thought he was acquitted from overwhelming evidence against him, just because he is black?

Almost Kmart, Justice triumphed in spite of him being black, the fake planted evidence, and racist cops that wanted to take him down. It was a great day I remember cheering with my friends when I heard the verdict.

Yah man. Juice was innocent both times, but the pigs keep trying to pin something on him because he refuses to grovel to the white man.

The Bush family was behind the first persecution and it is well known that they might have something to do with the original crime.

My posse had a grand party when OJ got justice the first time and history will repeat itself after the retrial! :o

Lets get real. Yes, the OJ verdict revealed a great racial divide in the US. For black people, his previous acquittal represented a payback, a vindication for all the poor black men who are convicted and imprisoned, often not getting a fair shake, and with poor legal help (unlike richer often whiter people). Now OJ is also rich so he could pay for the best legal help in the land, and he got away with murder, now that part is Thai related! So some black people cheered and most white people were very offended by this cheering, not really understanding what it was all about. But that doesn't mean most black people really thought he was innocent at all. It was much bigger than that. BTW, he is a convicted murderer in the CIVIL case, which occurred after the criminal case.

ummm he's not a convicted murderer, he was found liable in a wrongful death case.

and no this generally has no relevance to Thailand, but it probably would be discussed in a pub <hint>

Exactly NO THAI RELEVANCE, when I post shit that has no Thai relevance it gets closed or deleted. But I guess they like this one because its a chance for some racists to gloat at a broken black man's plight who has been treated as a murder depite being found NOT GUILTY at a trial laced with scandal at false evidence.

I remember watching the show in the uk where Ruby Wax spent a few days interveiwing OJ Simpson. There was one incident where he knocks on her door one morning & he imitates stabbing her with an imaginary knife whilst lunging through the door laughing.I dont think she found it quite as funny though. :o

When I saw his face when they were reading the verdicts, I almost felt sorry for him. Forgetting everything for a second before I realized, again, that he was a sociopath. An actor. No more golf with the boys for the juice. He's starting to look scary and crazy.

Ulysses and Huey, actually this thread has a lot of Thai (ThaiVisa) relevance because it has helped me identify certain individuals whose future posts I will never read nor respect as being wisdom-based.

As this thread isn't Thailand related it's therefore closed.
