October 5, 200817 yr Hi, Flying out of Thailand to Laos to renew visa. On the way back into Thailand, can we buy a 60 day Thai visa at Bangkok airport? Think i saw a 'visa on arrival' office at airport last time we were there? Only in Laos for 2 nights and don't know if we can get one there in that time.
October 5, 200817 yr Thats only for people from certain countries that cannot get a visa exempt entry and its only good for 15 days. If you are in Vientiane you can go to the Thai cconsulate and get 60 day tourist visa. Apply morning and get back next afternoon. On return to Thailand you will get a 30 day visa exempt entry if you are qualified for it.

Why would he want a 30-day visa exempt entry if he's just gotten a tourist visa that allows for a 60 day stay, plus another 30 days with extension?
October 6, 200817 yr The post from ubonjoe is a bit confusing, in that it doesn't state clearly that there are 2 options. 1. get a tourist visa for 60 days, but maybe not enough time for that. 2. get a visa exempt entry at BKK-airport, good for 30 days only.
