Prachuab Khirikhan Area Resorts

Featured Replies

I am thinking of taking the family by train down to the Prachuab station and from there going to a resort for 3-4 days. Years ago I used to go there once in a while to a tiny little resort (Ao Nang Resort) but haven't been to Prachuab for at least 8 years.

Here is what I am looking for:

  • TV
  • Internet connection available within walking distance, on or off premises
  • On or very near beach (walking distance)
  • Swimming pool (optional if beach is really nice and resort is otherwise highly recommended)
  • Quiet, nice location. No need for night life. Do not want to hear pounding disco beat in distance.
  • Don't want banana boats, para sails, beach chair type atmosphere.
  • Preferably resort can pick us up in their van at the station.
  • Would be a plus if there are places to eat within walking distance other than the resort restaurant(s).
  • Budget: Range of 1000-2500 night.

I have read about an island off Prachuab with two resorts that sound nice. If anyone knows about those and can offer any advice I would appreciate that. They looked nice on the Web and the price is right, but you never know until you have been there!

Thanks in advance to anybody offering suggestions.

Hi,

I don't know about the island resorts, but you could try the Samroiyot area. There are many that you might like. The beach is not superwhite and the sea is not suitable to snorkle, but it is quiet, you get very fresh seafood, the locals run village-based eco-tourism (boats to the nearby island). You can also kajak around. And if the weather is bad you get yourself a bicycle and go bird-watching. There is a splendid landscape (karst and lotus fields).

Thanks Sutnyod,

Thanks for your reply. I have been to the Samroiyot area. That is a bit further away from Prachuab station than I want to be. I still hope someone might have some advice about any resorts in the Prachuab area.
