Barred from the US (and who knows how many other countries), how can those voters live with their decision? Shades of Narong Wongwan (Wrong-One?). And Watana Asawahame. And ... and ... and ... mathematics is not yours or? Calculate it again, it is not 1/3 that under-age story is as well not as you tell. I would say people are bored by the "normal" politic. It is widely recognized that only the stupid Isaan farmers shouldn't be allowed to vote. The cosmopolitan and sophisticated Bangkok electorate are a very different matter. You have obviously misunderstood the finer points that he was campaigning on, shows a real ignorance of the subtleties of Thai politics. How many taxi drivers voted? er.... you know that non Bangkokians vote in their local body elections where they are registered right? i.e. none of them voted for anyone unless they are registered as Bangkokians (which most are not). They are proud to vote in Isaan and choose to travel home to vote there; most of them that I speak to don't really care that much; in their hearts they are from Surin or wherever even if they have lived here in BKK for 20 years. Interesting to see the attempts by PPP to promote Apirak on NBT on Saturday....so they could try to get the election nullified yesterday/today - never before have I seen such political interference on Channel 11 as most people know it, as we see now. No. He is not convicted of anything. Apriak is indicted by the NCCC, which then forwards that indictment to the Attorney General's office. THEN the AG decides if it goes to court. Thaksin on the other hand IS convicted as well as the Mrs. and several other cases are past the AG's office and into court preliminaries. Big difference. Apirak is staying to fight his case in court.
