richard10365
My mom sent me a small birthday gift this week. She sent one $5 dollar bill and one $20 dollar bill. I am not sure I can exchange small bills like that with my bank. Does anyone know?

richard10365
I remember trying to exchange some $1 dollar bills once and they would not do it because the denomination was too small. Maybe it was the particular place I was at. Who knows?

Anyway, the fact that they post the rates indicates that they are accepting the smaller bills.
Farma
It shouldn’t be a problem. I have a bag of mixed small note currencies for travelling. Having been caught out once when some Malay ringgits went out of circulation, I now change the older notes every year or so without problem.
