Kayak Rental Availability In Various Places?

Featured Replies

Howdy all,

I'm planning on a Thailand vacation over winter break, and I'd like to get some paddling in. Last time I was in Thailand, I ended up grabbing a bus for Pattaya and enjoyed the beach, but couldn't find anyplace renting kayaks there.

I'm wondering if anyone in Pattaya has finally recognized the tourist-rental potential for Aleutian travel systems and has picked up a few, or if I'd have to go to one of the resorts that are mentioned here -- Koh Tao in particular sounds nice. Was I just in the wrong part of Pattaya beach (near the Hard Rock)? Could I have hopped a cab for Jomtien or someplace else close-by?

I'm hoping to have three weeks there, in which case I'd be able to go to several places. As long as I'm posting questions, what are airfares like from Pattaya to Phuket? Would my best cheap route be to take a bus (or cab) from Pattaya back to Bangkok, then the luxury aircon bus down to Phuket? How difficult/expensive is it to go from Phuket to Koh Tao?

Thanks!

Thanks! Googled and found. Man, they're really testy about links, eh? Saw that in another thread too.

Don't go there, either; discussing mods decisions is not welcome on TV :o
