Please, can somebody help me .....questionmark.

The question mark the IS sign etc. doesn´t work anymore and I get completely different signs if I type...

If I use it in normal email, I have no problems. What´s the problem =

Could it be that you have set the keyboard to US English and not UK English, they have different layouts.

For instance - on the UK English layout the character " is above the numeral 2 (shift +2) - but on the US English layout the @ is above the 2

To toggle layouts press the key to the left of number 1

I got =====°°°°°--------- because it was set in Dutch, instead ?????=======////// in US English

:o That's it Totster; my board is set in US English and I can change it in 3 possibilities (Dutch, US English and Chinese for my wife is she needs to use my laptop; my software man did that).

Today, a complete new Windows Vista Update Package was installed which took a long time (didn´t ask for it... :D ) and the change in language set-up must have happened during that process.
