Well, I live smack in the middle of Soi Cowboy and Nana plaza and that's how I like it. I guess it could be worse, some folks from a certain country that has affected my long term wealth don't even know where Thailand is :o

Jokes aside I'm looking forward to the trip

I don't know yet. My invitation was in limited English and as you can see I get the spelling totally wrong so I'M just pleased to have come this far. My spelling googled came up with zip

For your next wedding Zorro, I advise that you get your wife to be to invite you personally. Somehow, getting an invitation to your own wedding via a third party does not seem that romantic.

Phetchabun province is one of the largest provinces in Thailand, maybe about 180km north to south and about 90km east to west. If it's not in Phetchabun town, you would definitely need to nail down the location, both for your travel and for any assistance in the area.

If it's in Phetchabun town, then getting there offers many options via train (Taphan Hin, appx 100km), plane (Phitsanulok, appx 120km) or car/bus (direct). If there, I would suggest staying at the Kosit Hill Hotel, which is on the west side of the main highway leading into town. Nice place with bar, restaurant and air con. I think they still have a website.

If you are going to drive your own car, the highways all the way to Phetch city are generally is good shape with the odd rim-breaker pothole here and there. It's a pretty easy drive, about 4-5 hours (300km) depending on your speed. Head north towards Ayutthaya, make a jog to the right towards Tak Fa (not towards Nakon Sawan), then it's a straight shot.

Once you find out, perhaps you would want to repost in the Central Thailand forum. There are a lot of TVF'ers in Phetch prov and Phetch city. (or maybe the mods could move this thread)
