I think they have to admit defeat - can they keep the Euro together ..no

elections in greece/spain/italy - nobody in charge -- can they act together ..no

will the populations of Europe let and accept Germany dictating the rules ...no

Are the Euro MP's just protecting their own pensions and jobs ..yes

So a 2 speed Europe - France and the south vs Germany and the North .. perhaps

Naam becomes a gold bug .. not just yet

a reminder to the gold " bears ".......... :whistling:

The True Intrinsic Value of Euro 'Money'

http://www.prudentin...money.html#more

but 1 ounce gold based on James Turk's price expectation of €11,000/oz will keep your house heated for 23 years

a reminder that gold "bugs", as usual, "expect"

And the thing guys like Turk fail to expect is the cost of a BTU or a kcal of food in their dream scenario.

Not that I agree with the various scenarios....

But I tend to think when folks say X commodity will be worth xxxxx

they realize all things will have gone through the roof by then...

But they figure they will have something that is trade-able to use

Unlike some things that were created out of thin air & *could* return to

such

Financial Times Deutschland joins hunt for Germany's gold

http://gata.org/node/10656

The funny things about all these gold hunts is that they do not seem to independently audit?

That much of various gold reserves are held not in the country of ownership.....

That could be a real kink someday.

Even in the USA what

would make for great reality TV for instance if Ron Paul got elected & as one of his first

orders of business had an on camera opening of Fort Knox for a televised audit

Then Turk (or the author of the quoted article) clearly does not realize that fact if he expects an an ounce of gold to buy enough energy to heat his house for 23 years.

I just don't see why CBs must "inevitably" print until they cause a currency crisis, knowing this will inevitably be the result.

True & when I read things I wonder what the heck they use for formulas

As for printing.....I think they have no options.

Take the Euro...print or implode.

So they will surely print.

They will print & destroy peoples savings instead.

I saw one cyclist claim .65 for the Euro next year.

They claim in 1973 the USD lost half its worth to the Euro & now it will be the reverse.

( I have not verified the 73 scenario...am just mentioning what I read)

Man there would be some unhappy Euro Falangs if ever that came to be eh?

Well they might try which is why I keep the inedible metal around but it's far from inevitable IMO.

As to the 73 scenario I was a uni sophomore and have forgotten many things since - including the euro being around then...rolleyes.gif

a lot of cyclists spill out utter rubbish. the reason is that cyclists, when they fall from their cycles, often hurt their skulls which contains the few working braincells they possess.

-in 1973 the USD lost 18.26% vs. the €URo's (kinda sort of) predecessor the Deutsche Mark

Mr Muchogra: Can I copy and keep your idea please? Mucho gracias.

I only post on Thaivisa if I am _______ed on ________!

I only post on Thaivisa if .... I and I ripped on herb, or shroonns, uh, sloohms,.

".... it is impossible for blah blah hold all blah blah physical gold or silver available at "arm's length".

Often what one considers "impossible" is really a piece of cake. Holy macaroni, Thailand is the best place on Earth to do this! Always remember that limits are belief systems, change your beliefs (due to faulty knowledge) and your limits vanish.

That aside, a synchronicity should never be passed up and the word TIME a few pages back was the trigger bait.

Upfront I apologize for dropping in with a waffling post, but I have way TOO MUCH TIME ON MY HANDS.

Hopefully so do you!

Anyway, I've been a long time developing a thought experiment called the temporal resonance field. Same-same the morphogenetic field but applies to the "arrow of time". Events will tend to happen again, if they resonant with what happened before. The more an event has happened the stronger its field. Powerful events from the future alter the field so that similar events will tend to happen in the past. The fractal properties of time create resonance at different time scales, an incident lasting days, might resonant with a process taking seconds. A split second event, could slow down into a months long process - if they resonant.

Humans can tune into this field - a psychic ability - and pick up a particular resonating time frame. Feelings of sympathetic vibration indicate attunement, accompanied by a sense of wonder and exhilaration. Humans can also surf a timewave, much as a surfer rides in front of the big wave. By creating a resonance in yourself for a future event - a strange attractor - you can surf in that direction, not only down a water vortex. In other words, this is how you can create your own future.

To explain the idea to my wife I said: "Imagine I make you a fortune by writing you a fortune cookie such as 9 22 32 44 48 19 "

... the back-story is she then hits the Supermega Rollover Lottery with Thunderball Bonus of 120 million pounds. Now convert into Thai baht at, is it still at 75? ..... well, a lot of money ..... FOR A SMALL PIECE OF PAPER with some numbers on it.

Get the idea?

I tested her understanding by writing a series of numbers on a small piece of paper, then I assured her these would be this Christmas Lottery winning numbers.

"Now, how much money will you give me for the piece of paper?" I asked her.

She said, "500 baht".

I said, "OK, that's a KO, you've got a deal", and handed her the piece of paper.

She took her fortune cookie and I asked for my 500 baht.

So, on another piece of paper, she wrote "500 baht" and gave it to me!

Think about it.

Recently I've been looking into the work of Phillip K Dick as he seems to have tapped into the temporal resonance field. Has anyone read the transcript of his other worlds speech at Merz and understood what happened to him or at least given it some attention? Recently, I watched the movie Paycheck and - another synchronicity - it's the same as my idea! Guy sees the future and writes himself a fortune cookie. Then gets the cookie, acts on it, hits the Lottery jackpot - and gets the bonus ball too. I noticed too that in Minority Report, the predictions from the pre-cogs are on balls.

Any Bladerunners wanna play hard ball?

More and more Gold and Silver Miners are now offering dividends , which if one believes in rising PM prices must be a good way to play the market - The dividends will increase investor interest in these - to date - underperforming shares - although in the last couple of months they have been outperforming the general markets , they still have a long way to go in relation to present gold and silver prices ...

for example ....

I've a much higher exposure now to the miners than physical. In addition to BlackRock gold and general fund mentioned a few posts ago, someone mentioned junior miners. Junior Gold Trust may be of interest to people wanting exposure to the sector, but not wanting to sift thru the individual shares or viewing it as having potential but being too much of a casino to pick individual stocks. Luanched Sep 2009, it holds only around 40 stocks, with a total fund value of about GBP 40mio. Initial charge can be discounted via broker such as HL to around 0.8%. Also useful to check out their top10 holdings, as the fund is small and nimble.

http://www.hl.co.uk/funds/fund-discounts,-prices--and--factsheets/search-results/j/junior-gold-trust-accumulation/charts

Up around 50% since launch 2 years ago, and outperformed key mining indices, eg FTSE Mining, FTSE 350 Mining and FTSE E300Mining, over main discrete and cumulative periods

XAU/USD 1,748.15 -21.7, -1.23%

Recognized Bearish Chart Patterns:

Three Black Crows

Timeframe: Daily

Reliability: High

A reversal pattern. During an uptrend, three long black candles occur with consecutively lower closes. This pattern suggests that the market has been at a high price for too long, and investors are beginning to compensate for it. More significant if it appears after a mature advance.

How reliable is technical analysis when markets are being manipulated?

The Hindenburg Omen in Aug 2010 was meant to forecast the Stock Market

crashing and burning……….. but it went the other way.

the Hindenburg Omen can be only considered reliable if three white doves sit on the back of a crocodile in the shade of a sculpture depicting Fieldmarshal Hindenburg on a horse. to the best of my knowledge that was not the case in 2010.

When markets are being manipulated large position holders. marketmakers, specialists can create their own technical patterns. I've some experience of this, as I myself thinking myself oh so clever once did this very thing to an extremely illiquid, low volume biotech stock. Through very little buying but my own I created the most textbook of longterm breakout patterns. One day while sitting at home thinking about all the ways I'd be spending my windfall that was certain to come any day now, the marketmaker decided it was time to sell, and sell and sell. Live and learn as they say. :(

Physical gold as a trade looks a bit tired to me - don't see much of an uplift until Q1 2012 after nearing my 1800 target. On the other hand there's some interesting numbers in miners which have been hammered indiscriminately. Quite a few hedge funds, big players have missed the equities rally in the last few weeks, so will want to put in a good show for y/e.

Perhaps due to my premise for owning physical...?

Physical has not looked tired to me for years. It bases/coils & goes again

Again due to my premise it does not surprise me at all.

To that end I will not be surprised to see $1850 this week. Then set a low

around 3rd week of November. This is not to say it won't be a higher low than the last.

Then rally into Christmas.

As to miners...while I do not partake of paper markets any longer I agree & think miners will start to

do quite well. I would be more interested in junior miners though. But as I said I no longer

play at the casinos.

.....

I guess you were right about not being surprised, seeing the closest we got was briefly 1803.15 a couple of days ago :)

Hope you're right on the low next week tho. Would look forward to adding more at a lower level.

Silver is looking tired too, but easier to play as more volatile and fairly range bound. Target of 37+ for next year now, but adding some below 33.9 (max) and selling some above 34.5 (min) has been Ok using LSIL which has 2x leverage.

I only post on Thaivisa when oiled on the bed, having fun for free.

Doesn't money grow on trees? Isn't everything you need available for free - Sun and fun? Air and water? Money, honey, food? Yes, even space and time?

I have some spacetime to free up. It's a space about 30x30 cm, surrounded by recycled cardboard, inside the box is time.

How much is it worth to me (or you, if you're playing along for fun)?

For 20 baht, I'm happy - the free box is full of free air and free time and I get more space free.

For 12,000 baht, I'm happy - the 12 bottles of liquid I swapped for 10 pieces of paper for fun using some free time. Another free box filled with free air goes in the free space.

For 2 million baht, I'm happy - the shiny metal was swapped for 1 piece of paper, some time and a bottle of liquid. I place more free boxes of free air/paper/liquid/metal into the free spaces for fun.

For 100 million baht, I'm still happy - the shiny metal inside I got for free, using only free time, all stored in a free box, in free space, in free air. And I have even more free time to enjoy my fun.

How much is any free, air-cushioned, fun-filled, space-time box worth?

Good luck to ya'all, catch you on the flip side.
