Where Are The Other Boys?

Hi Guys,

So I come to thailand for my breaks because the price of the ticket, the great people and for some reason I love Bangkok as a city. I have been to most of the gay haunts in BKK and it is pretty fun but the boys are relentless. Not so much the high priced boys cuz i dont look like i have alot of money but problem is I am not SOOOO into aisian boys, I mean sure some are hot but then they are so clingy. Is there a place to meet non asian guys in BKK that are relaxed and not creeps just lookin for asian ass? I go to Babylon and have fun at times when I can fight off some of the girlie boys, but the non asian guys seem on and dont see anyone else. I am good looking masculine have an ok body and just wanna have some fun but even if the guy is hot and his approach includes i want to be your boyfriend or is a total girl then i am not into it...

Hi jeffinsudan - welcome to our little part of the world!

Ummm, I have to say that I think you're in the wrong place for what you're looking for!

A LARGE percentage of the non-asian men are here BECAUSE they are attracted to asian guys - and the variety that they bring. That's why you don't get a look-in even in Babylon.

Now, having said that.. that leaves you about 10% of the non-asian market (and that's gotta be a small number!) who might like a little "variety" in their life.

Try gyms, coffee shops, museums, wat's, - in short everywhere EXCEPT the gay bars and disco's in Patpong etc.

Yeah, you're kinda outta place for what you're looking for...

ummm.... I wouldn't normally advise this, but if you're looking for a hot lay without the "clinginess," as you put it, you might consider the gogo bars... no clinginess there- they'll leave as soon as you stop paying!

Otherwise I have to agree with ChrisP.'s analysis- for you to find non-Asian action here, you're going to be competing with all the *Asians* for it- while at the same time most of these non-Asians are looking for Asians. On the other hand, you'll have the advantages (possibly) of language and personality. I guess you'll just have to be extra-charming, and maybe buy a few extra drinks for your "targets," then get away before they become girly or clingy! Good luck!

Strange place to go looking for non-Asians, Asia.

Still, I don't like the old "girlie" style myself. The Thais seem to be very open about their sexuality - in Bangkok, anyway -, I have even seen schoolboys in uniform acting openly "camp".

I must say I don't like it though.

I prefer ordinary guys behaving in reasonably ordinary ways.

Maybe that's why I'm so lonely!

Well guy there are a few of us out there that still get into a pure white-bread experience as well as a good variety of Buffet Queens, just look for us, we will be the one's checking you out!

But agree with the othes pickings are slim anywhere in Asia most guys here come just for the local BOYZ...

Thing is I think that most of you thought I was coming to Thailand for a break of cock and ass play. No I come to Thailand regualarly because it is a nice place to visit not for sex. Sure living and working in a repressive culture where gay anything gets the death penalty sex might be a part of a break when I go. But I come to thailand for R&R. If i wanted to go to get a specific type of ass I would go the the place with them. It just seems that Thailand is the most fun for my bucks is convenient and cheap comparatively to other destinations. Again I was just asking if there are places where gay expats hang out that may not be ONLY into asian guys. Instead I got a bunch of guys stating the obvious for me. Infact for me it seems kind of creepy the way some white guys are into only asian guys. Me myself like everyone but there has to be a certain vibe that I see lacking in most of the gay boys in BKK.

Hmmmmmm.... well, *maybe* we misunderstood you... but in the first post you were talking about meeting hot guys and not wanting them to be "clingy," and how you weren't getting what you wanted at Babylon from the non-Asians... now, correct me if I'm wrong, but there's pretty much one thing that people go to Babylon for, and it's not usually the haircuts...... seems to me that there's SOMEthing about sex in your opening post....

It can be creepy when you run across these types who don't even want to talk to you because you're another foreigner- but I don't run into those so much. If you're just looking for friendship and companionship (and *NOT* sex, as you now say), just hang out in a few of the expat-friendly bars- Balcony, Telephone, and so on- there's no shortage of characters to talk to. But if it's sex you're after, you'll have to deal with "the obvious," as you say. There are no "non-Thai gays only" clubs around that *I* know of, and thank god for that.
