I'm about to buy a server, and as those things are expensive, I need some kind of physical security for it so that someone cannot just pick it up and run away with it. I don't have a server room to lock it up in, so I was thinking about some kind of ventilated locker that I could bolt to the wall from the inside. That way you would have to be able to open the locker to unbolt it.

Has anyone heard of such a thing? Where would I pick one of those up in Chiang Mai? Any other good suggestions?

Servers are placed best in so named 19" Rack's. If you google for that, you'll get a lot to read!

19" Rack's are special "Case's" with locked doors where you place a complete Server System in other special case's include Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, UPS and other equipment needed. That 19" Rack's available in various sizes.

If you in Bangkok, you can go the Pantip Plaza and on 3 floor is STC who is dealing with this stuff. STC is specialized on Server Equipment, Survilance systems and CD/DVD Copy systems. The Owner, Khun Visan and his Wife speaks english very well and you wouldn't find an other company with that customer oriented service eve after sales.
